Fortnite on mobile is now making an average of $2 million per day, the first 10 days of Season Five, according to a report by Sensor Tower.
The report said that Fortnite was averaging around $1.2 million per day between its launch on March 15 and the end of Season Four on July 11, but Season Five set a new high.
The $2 million per day was 12 percent higher than the preceding 10 days, and 19 percent higher than the $1.7 million that players spent per day on average compared to the launch of the previous season.
Daily revenue in Fortnite mobile reached an all-time high on July 13, when players spent approximately $3 million, a day after the new season went live. The game’s previous best day was May 1, the beginning of season four, when it grossed around $1.9 million.
Sensor Tower said that, to date, players have spent more than $150 million in the mobile version of Fortnite alone. This number is expected to skyrocket whenever the Android version of the game launches, which is still expected to arrive some time this summer, according to Epic. Currently, Fortnite mobile is only available on iOS.
Fortnite’s fifth season kicked off with some changes to the map, the addition of a new All-Terrain Kart, and a new Battle Pass filled with 100 tiers of unlocks. The pass is available for around $10, and players can also purchase tiers of unlocks for a small fee. Couple that with new cosmetics in the store every few days and Fortnite is a veritable money-printing phenomenon.
