Jam Tracks in Fortnite are songs you can remix in the Festival Jam Stage game mode. This casual mode lets you join other players to automatically mix and match Jam Tracks instrument loops to create new versions of songs.

How to use Jam Tracks in Fortnite

You can equip Jam Tracks in your Fortnite Locker. All Festival Main Stage songs you own can be equipped as a Jam Track for the Festival Jam Stage. Once in a Jam, you can select the track directly from your emote wheel and choose which instrument you’ll play and the song’s tempo, key, and mode.

These tracks are playable in the Jam Stage mode within Fortnite Festival. Currently, Jam Tracks doesn’t function in other official Epic Games modes.

When you join a Festival Jam in Fortnite, look for a stage that’s either empty or has space for more players. Remember, each jam stage can accommodate up to four players at a time, and Jam Tracks are exclusively playable on stage. To access the Tracks Wheel, check the left side of your screen for the specific button prompt for your platform.

For example, press down on the D-Pad if you’re playing on the Switch like me. This will let you select your track and Switch between instruments. Once you’ve made your selections, press the same button again, and your character will begin their performance.

Tip:

You can equip up to eight Jam Tacks at once.

How to get new Jam Tracks

You get new Jam Tracks by:

  • Buying them with V-Bucks in the Store.
  • Progressing through the Festival Pass, in both free and premium tracks.
  • Use some Lobby Songs you already own.

Only some Lobby Songs are a Jam Track. Those that may eventually become tracks show the message “Jam Track to be included at a later date” under their item description. So, Jam Tracks are nothing more than a gameplay use for these existing Lobby Songs.
