The Casting of Frank Stone: Secret trophy guide

It is highly unlikely that you’ll obtain most of these trophies in a single playthrough (especially if you’re trying to save everyone). Some trophies specifically ask you to get playable characters killed, while others point you to a particular point in the story where a different choice will have another, perhaps more interesting outcome.

Savior

Chapter: 1. The Burning Man.

Beat every quick-time event before and during your first encounter with Frank Stone. Neither the route of the ramp nor the ladder inside the furnace chamber affects whether you get this achievement. Instead, make sure to get Sam off the pipe and mash the appropriate button to save the baby in time.

Easy Money

Chapters: 1. The Burning Man and 3. A Curiosity on Main Street.

Fail the quick-time event when Sam is impaled by the pipe in the wall. Following this, Jaime must be reluctant to leave while filming with Chris and Linda. This will open a new dialogue where Sam offers a bribe that you should accept.

Fellow Traveller

Chapter: 2. In the House of Darkness.

Stop for the hitchhiker (Linda).

Five Finger Discount

Chapter: 3. A Curiosity on Main Street.

You need to be jovial, shocked, and serious when talking to Bonnie inside Rivera’s garage. Bonnie will leave the house, skipping the dialogue where you ask for some money. Stealing unlocks this trophy.

Lumpkin and Livin’

Chapter: 1. The Burning Man and 5. The Phantom of Cedar Steel.

Choose all options that build trust in Tom Holt before you head into the sewers to take on Stone. Listen to the cassette interview (found in the garage) to learn about Holt’s sobriety.

Open Sesame

Chapter: 6. Beyond the Gate.

The gate combination in order is Barn, Tree, and Hammer.

Stan of Cleaves

Chapters: 10. In the House of Madness and 14. The Massacre at Gerant Manor.

This can only be achieved by keeping Madi alive and having Chris stay in 2024 by being scared. Fail the event where Stan is grabbed by the holographic Frank Stone.

Back to the… Past

Chapter: 10. In the House of Madness.

Pick the hopeful choice as Chris when talking to Madi. Complete all quick-time events as you fix the horologium. Madi must be alive for this trophy.

Tsap…eht ot Kcab

Chapter: 10. In the House of Madness.

Similar to the Back to the…Past trophy, you must be hopeful to return to 1980 as Chris, but fail fixing the horologium as Madi.

Bad Dog

Chapter: 9. Descent of the Damned/ Hunting Ground.

Enter the old admin building after escaping Frank Stone. Fix the broken steam pipe and descend down the stairs into the basement. Turn right at the end of the corridor to find Merlin’s dog collar on the floor, in the corner of this dead end.

Escape Artist

Chapter: 13. Murder Mill.

Find Jaime inside the tunnels, behind where Frank Stone first appeared. Jump through the gap in the wall and follow the path around to find Jaime.

Memento Mori

Chapter: 13. Murder Mill.

Find Jaime underneath the Steel Mill and fail to bring the 8mm camera out when Frank Stone appears.

Nothing Personal

Chapters: 8. Mystery Manor and 14. The Massacre at Gerant Manor.

Fail all events when venting the horologium to kill Madi. Send Chris back to 1980. Have Linda take Sam’s gun. Take the elevator up after fixing the generator.

Friendly Fire

Chapters: 2. In the House of Darkness, 12. Closing the Noose, and 14. The Massacre at Gerant Manor

Accept Augustine’s drink. Make sure Linda doesn’t take Sam’s gun. Have Madi keep the Pendant and survive to confront Augustine. Shoot Madi.

Phagocythosis

Chapters: 2. In the House of Darkness, 12. Closing the Noose, and 14. The Massacre at Gerant Manor

Follow the same steps as Friendly Fire, but don’t shoot Madi.

Camera Shy

Chapter: 7. A Perilous Place.

Ward off Stone with the 8mm camera while you turn on the generator to use the lift and escape without getting Linda killed in the process.
