The inaugural season of the Clash Royale League (CRL) is slowly coming to a close.
Forty-four teams across five regions have a few short weeks left to prove they have what it takes to lift their regional crown. When the dust settles and the number one teams are confirmed, it will be time for them to look forward to the biggest event of them all— the CRL World Finals.
For the first World Finals of CRL, Supercell has decided to hold the competition in Tokyo, Japan at the Makuhari Messe, from Dec. 1. There, some of the best Clash Royale teams in the world will fight against one another for the chance at lifting the Golden Crown Trophy. The winning team will also immortalize themselves in history as the first-ever CRL World Champions.
“The Clash Royale League is such a global competition, and after hosting the World Finals for our individual competition last year in London, we can’t wait to bring CRL World Finals to our fans on the other side of the world in Japan,” Chris Cho, Clash Royale League Commissioner, said in the announcement. “Fans around the world—whether at the live event in Tokyo or watching along from anywhere on their phones—should expect an amazing celebration of the highest level of Clash Royale gameplay.”
The top teams from the five major regions are currently scraping it out against one another to claim the right to represent their region at this prestigious event. Most of the regions’ seasons end around November.
Only the top team from each region will gain entry to the World Finals to face off against the top team in Japan. Of those six teams, only one will be crowned the winner and champion of the world.
Fans looking to attend the event in person will be able to purchase tickets for 1,450 Japanese Yen ($13) each. Those who purchase a ticket will also get exclusive, limited edition Clash Royale merchandise. Fans unable to attend the event live can catch the action on the Clash Royale Esports YouTube channel.
