Lindgren took the first place trophy and $10,000 after an impressive victory over Weston “Westballz” Dennis. Using only Peach (his signature character,) Lindgren pummeled Dennis in the winners and grand finals without dropping a single match.

DreamHack’s London event marks the first time the organization has included the Nintendo fighting-game franchise, though it will hardly be the last, wit events planned for DreamHack Winter from Nov. 26 to 29 and DreamHack Austin from May 6 to 8. Lindgren was a main advocate for the circuit.

The year keeps getting better for Lindgren. He’s taken at second place at two major tournaments already, Apex and Community Effort Orlando, and won the biggest of them all, EVO. All told, his tournament earnings for this year add up to roughly $32,000.

His next big challenge comes at Big House 5 in Dearborn, Michigan next month. With his recent performances, Lindgren is looking like an easy favorite.
