The latest edition of the iconic series Street Fighter releases in just two months, and the highly anticipated fighter is aiming to be easier to pick-up-and-play. But that doesn’t mean Street Fighter V will be easy.
Fighting games are notoriously difficult to get into. Understanding the neutral game, hit stun, and frame specific openings is critical for competitive play. This ends up putting gamers in two camps: those that play and those that button mash. As PBS’s Game/Show explains it, once you understand Street Fighter more of a game of spacing, much like chess, it can open your mind up to the depth the game contains.
