Skillshot Media is in charge of the tournament series, dubbed the Realm Royale Invitational, and will invite Masters-ranked players, community favorites, and Realm Royal streamers to participate. Games will be streamed live on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week, with a $10,000 prize pool each day. To be considered for the tournament, players are encouraged to stream Realm Royale consistently and to climb the rankings in-game. These two tournaments will happen live each week at 2pm CT, according to the announcement. (The first week there’s only one tournament. Tuesday tournaments begin on July 24.)

Community figure Daniel “KEEMSTAR” Keem will host his own Realm Royale tournaments on Thursdays, following the same format. A July post from KEEMSTAR suggested he was hosting a $100,000 Realm Royale tournament, but it’s unclear if this is the same development.

Each tournament will include duo teams from North America and Europe. Teams play 10 games, five each on the North American and European servers. Points are added up as they would in golf; a smaller number is preferable. Teams get “positive points” based on their team placement in a match, with each elimination knocking their score down one. Positive and negative points will be combined for the overall score.

All of the tournament days will stream on Twitch and Mixer, as well as on participating broadcaster channels. Realm Royale developer Hi-Rez Studios said that more announcements regarding third-party tournaments are expected soon.
