Everyone has a guilty pleasure game. A game that you know isn’t good, but you can’t get enough of it. All that matters when you’re playing a game at the end of the day is your own enjoyment. Regardless of whether the game has apparent flaws or crummy visuals, if you enjoy it, it’s good.

The 1998 South Park game for Nintendo 64, PS1, and PC may be the best example of a game that is by all means bad despite boasting a cult following with nostalgic memories of the shooter. Before Matt Stone and Trey Parker took more creative control of their IP in the video game space more than a decade later with Stick of Truth, South Park was a janky FPS with a lot of snowball throwing and cursing without much else. Still, fans of the show who were kids at the time of release find themselves returning to take down more turkeys to this day.

The latest South Park game is also all about snow, but the turkey murder was reduced significantly.

The original Shaq Fu for the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo is perhaps the most infamous fighting game of them all, and it got a sequel in 2018, which can only be described as… at least equal in quality to the original. Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is a beat-em-up as opposed to the more traditional 2D arcade fighting style of the original. Trollbeard’s Reddit comment is not made up—there really is a DLC where you play as Barack Obama, and the final boss is Kanye West.

Here’s hoping Shaq Fu 3 finally adds Maya Angelou.

The Steam indie title Mr. President first went viral in 2016 during Trump’s first presidential campaign and recently found itself viral again amidst the real-life assassination attempt and some false reports about the shooter’s supposed Steam account. Mr. President is a classic internet indie shlock. It’s visually equivalent to something like Goat Simulator.

There’s just one repetitive thing to do in the game: Try to save “Ronald Rump” by diving in front of a red dot in time. The controls are intentionally rough to make the task simultaneously challenging and hilarious. The Reddit comment sums Mr. President up nicely by calling it a “B movie type game.”
