An impressive-looking new TV show based on a video game is coming to Prime Video, and it’s made by a studio that’s made CGI cutscenes and trailers that almost all gamers have seen.
Blur Studio, makers of cinematics for series such as League of Legends, Call of Duty, Gears of War, Elder Scrolls, and more, revealed the project at Gamescom today. It’s called Secret Level, and it’s an anthology series.
Secret Level will feature 15 different stories inspired by video games, and some of them can be seen in the trailer above, along with the partner studios and publishers helping to bring them to life.
Warhammer, Unreal Tournament, New World, Dungeons and Dragons, Pac-Man, Megaman, Armored Core, and more are set to be featured within the series, which also includes PlayStation characters such as Kratos from God of War and Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima.
The teaser is full of Easter eggs featuring all of the series shown, and it’s a fun hunt to find all of them in the 90-second clip. How many can you count? There’s plenty to look out for and see, so try to find your favorites.
Blur has also worked on several films and TV series, such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog films, Love, Death & Robots, and more, so the studio’s track record is full of plenty of good stuff.
Prime Video is also the home of the Fallout series, as well as shows in the works for projects like God of War and more. With other successes like The Last of Us on HBO, it’s clear that game adaptations are becoming bigger and better with more time and effort put into them—other than the Borderlands movie, of course.
Secret Level will premiere on Dec. 10 on Prime Video.
