Palia is an exciting MMO filled with adventures, skills, crafting, and romanceable characters, but sadly, it’s not available on every platform. This may change in the future, but in the meantime, there are only two platforms you can play Palia on.
Here’s what we know about Palia’s current list of platform availability and how much the game will cost you.
Palia platforms and cost
Palia is currently available on PC and will be available on Nintendo Switch on Dec. 14, 2023. At the time of writing this, the devs have neither confirmed nor denied whether it will be available on Mac, iOS devices, PlayStation, or Xbox later. However, they know there is a demand for it to be available on these gaming devices.
Palia is free to play to all players on both PC and Nintendo Switch. However, Palia does feature microtransactions, which means there will be a shop where you can purchase items, pets, and costumes for real-world money. But you don’t need these to play or enjoy the game as it is free.
Is Palia available on Steam?
Unfortunately, the only way to play Palia on the PC is to download it from Palia’s official website. This means you won’t be able to play it via Steam. At least, not yet.
Is Palia available on Mac or GeForce Now?
Palia is unavailable on Mac, and they’ve made no announcements regarding whether it will be in the future.
GeForce Now, the cloud gaming service, only has connections with Ubisoft, Epic Games Store, and Steam, and given that Palia isn’t currently available to download via these platforms, Palia isn’t available on GeForce Now, either.
As someone whose computer is basically a toaster oven, I enjoy using GeForce Now, so I’m hoping Palia will be available through this service later. But it needs to be available on Steam for that to happen.
But for now, Palia is a free-to-play game available on PC directly via Palia and Nintendo Switch on Dec. 14, 2023.
