Taking place three years before the events of the first game, GreedFall 2: The Dying World is the role-reversal prequel that takes you back to the unique historical fantasy world of GreedFall.

GreedFall 2 early access release date and time
GreedFall 2 early access releases on Sept. 24 solely on PC via Steam. This early access will be priced at $39.99 USD, which is lower than what the title will cost at full release.
By purchasing early access, you’ll also gain access to the complete game and extra content at full release. However, you won’t be able to transfer save files to the full game nor get any achievements for your early playthroughs. In early access, players can play through the first 30 percent of the full game, giving you a taste of the character customization and skill tree builds.
At the time of writing, Spiders, the developers of GreedFall 2, have yet to reveal an exact early access release time, so we’ve set our countdowns to expire at 12am PDT on Sept. 24. If anything changes, we’ll update this article with new release times. In the meantime, refer to the countdown below to see exactly when the GreedFall 2 early access goes live.
On Aug. 27, the devs released an open letter calling for a strike over poor management and working conditions at the studio. Reportedly, the state of GreedFall 2’s production is looking grim, with burnout and turnover hitting devs hard. Getting ready to release early access was described as “painful” in the letter, and the devs expressed doubt they would be able to offer a full and polished game by next year at all due to the amount of work still left to do.
Both the studio and publisher have yet to respond to the open letter or change the early access date. For now, everything still seems to be on track for GreedFall 2’s early access release on Sept. 24, but we’ll continue to update if anything changes.
