The Hearthstone Grandmasters season is officially underway. That means players now have a ton of pro decks to steal ideas from in an effort to make their way up the ladder.
Hearthstone Grandmasters just wrapped up its second week of the 2020 season. During Grandmasters, players compete for their spot in the Hearthstone World Championship, as well as the chance to battle over a $500,000 prize pool.
Each year, Grandmasters includes 48 of the best players in the world, some of which you’ll see decklist from below. Players are chosen based on a variety of criteria, which includes their lifetime earnings in Hearthstone, as well as their 2018 HCT Competitive Points total. At the end of the year, the two most dominant players from each region, plus two top players from Hearthstone’s Gold Series in China, will have the opportunity to compete in the finals.
Though Hearthstone Grandmasters’ current season is still in its infancy, there are a number of surprising standout decks. Most of the deck archetypes for the recent Ashes of Outland expansion have already been well established, but what you’ll find here is a version of those archetypes that feature a pro’s touch. For instance, the version of Zoo Warlock that Swidz is running looks much different than most versions you’ll find on websites like HSReplay.
Due to balancing issues, like the ones with Demon Hunter, Blizzard has been extra trigger happy with the nerf bat. Even though Ashes of Outland has been out for a considerable amount of time, you should still craft with caution. Here are some of the best decks we’ve seen so far in Hearthstone Grandmasters.
Swidz Zoo Lock
Zoo Lock is one of the oldest and most reliable archetypes in Hearthstone. Though it’s struggled to find its footing in this expansion, Swidz’s version of the deck has no problem laying the meta to waste. Cards like Fiendish Servant help keep your board alive and allow you to keep the onslaught going.

Surrender’s Skipper Warrior
As the name implies, this deck is all about using the Risky Skipper. This card has an effect that causes you to deal one damage to all minions after you play a minion. The rest of your deck includes cards that benefit from damaged minions, like Armorsmith and Battle Rage. There aren’t many people using this deck on ladder, so it also includes the element of surprise.

Gallon’s Combo Demon Hunter
Demon Hunter arguably has some of the strongest decks in the history of Hearthstone. Combo Demon Hunter relies on using big value cards like Altruis, Kael’thas, and Skull of Gul’dan to blast your opponent when they least expect it. If you aren’t already playing Demon Hunter, this is a great list to help you become acquainted with the class.

Jarla’s Highlander Mage
Highlander Mage is one of the most fun decks you’ll ever play. It’s also one of the most difficult decks you’ll ever pilot. This version of Highlander Mage has so many high-value cards that your opponent will feel like they should owe you a fee just for looking at it. Cards like Amazing Reno, Kalecgos, and Malygos give you the tools you need to drain your opponent into the late game. If you love a control-heavy playstyle with tons of options, give this Highlander variant a shot.

Languagehacker’s Rez Priest
Resurrect Priest is another deck that’s great for people who prefer a long and calculated control playstyle. With this deck, you’ll be producing high-value minions that your opponent has to produce an answer for. Afterward, you’ll be using cards like Mass Ressurection to resummon those minions to overwhelm your opponent once they’ve ran out of answers. If you enjoy making people rage, give Rez Priest a shot.
