With the release of The Witchwood’s Monster Hunt game mode just one week away, the Hearthstone team has given players a deeper look at what they can expect.

In a Hearthside Chat yesterday, Hearthstone’s lead mission designer Dave Kosak talks about some of the heroes and bosses. While we already knew that the mode is fairly similar to the Dungeon Run mode released with the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion, Kosak also pointed out some of its differences.

Instead of playing as the nine different Hearthstone classes, players can take control of four different “expert” monster hunters. Tess Greymane, Darius Crowley, Houndmaster Shaw, and Toki, Time-Tinker are already legendary cards in the game and are now also the monster hunters.

Each hunter possess a unique Hero Power that players have never seen before. For instance, Tess will be able to Discover spells used in the game and Darius has cannons that deal damage to enemies. The hunters can come across any of the 40 unique bosses while each class has their own “nemesis.”

There is one boss for each class, which only they can encounter. Each hunter also has unique loot that only they can get after defeating a boss. Some bosses will drop their own unique loot as well—one boss will drop a spell that “throws” your minions at the enemies face, for example.

Only after defeating Monster Hunt with all four heroes can you unlock the special encounter against Hagatha. While no details were given about that fight, you can expect it to be a grand finale to the game mode.

Monster Hunt will officially be released on Apr. 26 at 12pm CT, two weeks after The Witchwood expansion’s debut.
