The Legendary reveal train continues with the third Legendary minion revealed today. This time it’s Priest’s second Legendary.
Production company Omnislash got to reveal the newest The Witchwood card with Dan “Frodan” Chou, James “Firebat” Kostesich, and Brian Kibler reviewing the card. Chameleos is an interesting card with a common Priest effect, copying your opponent’s cards.
Chameleos is a one mana 1/1 beast, but none of that matters because of the card text. Each turn Chameleos is in your hand, it will change into a card in your opponent’s hand. This mean Chameleos will take on the mana cost of whatever card it turns into.
Chameleos can be incredibly strong in most match-ups if it turns into a key card that is in your opponent’s hand. This is especially true in Control matches where your opponent has multiple powerful cards in the late game that Chameleos can turn into.
As pointed out during the reveal of the card by Firebat, Chameleos is also useful because it lets you know what cards your opponent has in their hand and potentially what type of deck your opponent is playing. That type of information can be priceless, because knowing what your opponent is playing can change how you play your cards and give you an advantage.
Chameleos is an incredibly exciting card with a unique effect. Expect to see Chameleos experimented with and played in many Priest decks when the expansion is released.
With The Witchwood’s release scheduled for sometime in April, you can now pre-order 50 packs and receive 20 additional packs along with a unique card back for $49.99.
