The newest card revealed for Hearthstone’s next expansion could have a big impact on one of the game’s most storied classes—Shaman.
Shaman has been a class that has struggled for identity throughout the life of the game. First finding a place as a midrange option, aggressive and token focused strategies have since taken hold.
Grumble, Worldshaker has the potential to be a powerful deck-defining card for the class. It’s a six mana 7/7—that’s already pretty good. Its Battlecry returns all your other minions to your hand and makes them cost just one mana.
Obviously, giving up board presence isn’t great in every situation. However, in a deck with a lot of minions with effects being able to replay them could be very powerful.
Not only that, but being able to flood the board with all your minions costing one mana could be a huge tempo swing. You can heal massive taunts, refresh divine shields, summon new tokens, or any number of other things. The possibilities are massive.
The next expansion, Kobolds and Catacombs, will be released some time next month.
