In June, the developer released another trailer for the Summer Game Fest revealing that the port would launch this year. Now, HoYoverse has formally announced Honkai: Star Rail’s official PlayStation release date.

Honkai: Star Rail’s PlayStation 5 release

On Sept. 29, HoYoverse revealed that Honkai: Star Rail is coming to PS5 on Oct. 11. The developer also released a new trailer containing information about the port.

It’s interesting to note that the trailer only mentions PlayStation 5 and not PlayStation 4. This may mean it’s going to be a PS5 exclusive. We’ve reached out to the developers for clarification on whether Honkai: Star Rail will be available for PS4, and we’ll update this page if we have any further information.

Another HoYoverse game, Genshin Impact, also saw a staggered release when it first launched. It was originally available on Android, iOS, PS4, and PC before getting a PS5 version on April 28, 2021. If history is anything to go by, we might see the same staggered console release schedule for Honkai: Star Rail too.

Honkai: Star Rail follows the Trailblazer and the adventures of the Astral Express crew across different planets as they battle the Aeons. It released on April 26, 2023 for PC, iOS, and Android, and now the PlayStation 5 launch date is set in stone.
