Hogwarts Legacy lets players explore the iconic castle in all its glory. One exciting room is the werewolf tapestry room. In said room, you can find a werewolf statue, various werewolf tapestries that tell a story, and a chest inside.

Thankfully, this guide has everything you need to locate and enter the werewolf tapestry room to explore and grab some loot for yourself.

Where is the werewolf tapestry room?

The werewolf room can be found in the tapestry gallery as you make your way to the dungeons of Hogwarts. You’ll know you’re close when you pass the Sleeping Dragon statue, which will also grant you a Field Guide page.

How to find the werewolf tapestry room

To get to the werewolf tapestry room, you’ll want to head to the tapestry gallery in Hogwarts Castle and walk through a large tapestry with the letter ‘K’ on it.

Here are some specific steps to take:

  1. Fast travel to the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame and turn left.
  2. Run up the first set of stairs, and then through the door directly in front of you.
  3. Run down the flight of stairs to the left, and enter through the door to your right.
  4. This will take you into the tapestry gallery, and the art piece we’re looking for will be directly in front of you.
  5. Entering the secret room might seem complicated, but this next step is actually very simple. When staring at the tapestry, you will see a large shield at the bottom with the letter ‘K’ on it. Simply walk towards this shield, and it will swing open, as it’s actually a hidden door.
  6. Walk through it, and then through the door at the end of the corridor, and you’ll end up in the hidden werewolf room.

What’s inside the werewolf tapestry room?

Unsurprisingly, there’s a werewolf statue inside this hidden room. When you use Revelio on it, there’s no field guide page to be found, but long-time Harry Potter fans will recognize the similarities the creature has to the animagus version of Professor Remus Lupin, who first appeared in The Prisoner of Azkaban.

Directly to the right of the statue is another tapestry with a ‘K’ on it. While you can’t walk through this one, it does have a field guide page for the werewolf saga tapestries, which tells the tragic story of a witch and her encounter with a werewolf.

Finally, there is a chest in the corner of the room inside which you can find a royal maroon coat to add to your inventory.

Note:

Unfortunately, this is the most werewolf content you’ll be able to get within Hogwarts Legacy. While you can meet a few NPCs, enemies included, that are animagi who can transform into animals, there’s not one werewolf to see, fight, or talk to. Hopefully, Avalanche Software will do something with the lycanthropic creatures in the future.

Interacting with the Hogwarts Legacy werewolf tapestries

Some players might understandably think this room contains a puzzle, especially because the tapestries themselves glow blue when casting Revelio. While there’s no puzzle to be found in the werewolf tapestry room, casting Lumos when facing each individual tapestry will change the picture on the tapestry itself, making for an interactive element that helps tell the story of the witch bitten by a werewolf.

This is just one of many hidden locations inside Hogwarts Legacy, and there are plenty more for you to explore as you make your way through the game. From the hidden treasure vault in Lower Hogsfield to the Cache in the Castle quest, there are lots of valuable items just waiting for you to find.
