Here is how to get all endings in Home Safety Hotline.

How to unlock all Home Safety Hotline endings

Home Safety Hotline has two endings. These unlock the achievements “Unemployed” and “Junior Supervisor.” Here’s how to unlock both endings in your HSH career.

Unemployed ending

There are two ways to get the Unemployed ending. You can either purposely fail The Trial by guessing the riddle answers incorrectly, or you can fail the majority of your calls from Monday to Saturday. You won’t reach The Trial if you cannot answer most caller queries correctly.

If you previously got all correct answers before starting The Trial, you must fail every riddle the cloaked figure throws at you to get the Unemployed ending. Even if you correctly identified every entity before The Trial starts, failure to solve these ominous riddles will result in an undesirable transformation. Disappointed, Carol uses her fae powers to turn you into a mouse.

This bad ending originally had a simpler cutscene in mind where the protagonist would have their memory wiped by Carol, becoming the next victim of a Memory Wisp. Explained in the Art Book (complete the game to view this in the main menu), the game over ending was inspired by Roald Dahl’s The Witches.

You need to score six out of eight riddles if you managed to get to The Trial on day seven. Alternatively, get all correct answers in your six shifts leading up to The Trial, and score at least 50 percent on the quiz to get the good ending.

Whether you smash The Trial or correctly answer just enough to pass, Carol will reward you with a promotion following your excellent service. Teleporting you to the middle of nowhere, Carol places a crown atop your head as a small audience of fae creatures gather to see you ascend to Junior Supervisor. It’s a bit extra for a promotion, but it’s better than being a mouse.

All endings in Home Safety Hotline: Seasonal Worker DLC

Just like the base game, the Seasonal Worker DLC has two endings. Here is how to unlock them.

Bad ending

The bad ending is achieved when your Cheer Levels lower to zero percent. Cheer Levels are drained every time you get an answer wrong. The bad ending means that Rebecca (our protagonist) won’t be around to protect the town residents from The Twilight. Many will likely succumb to the high threat of The Twilight’s effects, where lethal entities roam the streets, stealing children and consuming any soul in sight.

A news report plays in the bad end cutscene, showcasing the impact of The Twilight as it encompasses the town. An emergency broadcast shortly follows, telling watchers to seek shelter and to not engage with any entities. Your failure to keep the residents safe means it’ll be a cold, dark day this Christmas.

Good ending

Thankfully, there’s no surprise test at the end of the Seasonal Worker DLC. You need to get as many correct answers as you can to make sure your Cheer Level never hits zero. It’s possible to finish the game on as low as 2.4 percent Cheer Levels, and it will still unlock the good ending. There is no specific level requirement to get this ending.

The ending shows that you managed to thwart the evil of The Twilight. Your reward is watching the staff at the Home Safety Hotline enjoy their annual Christmas party, where the game fades to black with Rebecca unconscious from too much drink. What a merry Christmas.
