AP Senna is on a rampage in League of Legends right now after her massive buffs in Patch 14.16. She’s an enchanter at this point with mass shields and healing—but players aren’t happy with the changes.
In Patch 14.16, Riot Games provided Senna with mass AP buffs to push her toward being more of a support and not a DPS carry. The devs hoped for alternative builds, but they got something far scarier. Senna’s win rate has increased rapidly to over 53 percent, according to stats site LeagueOfGraphs. This is her highest win rate since July 2023, which is remarkable given her win rate was close to 48 percent a month ago.
According to Mobalytics, Senna’s most popular build consists of AP support items such as Echoes of Helia and Moonstone Renewer. This build can also make use of the once-infamous Ardent Censor. Players have taken to Reddit to express their irritation over “Enchanter Senna.”
In the clip posted on Reddit, Senna’s ultimate provides Jinx with almost a full health shield. On top of that, her Q healed Jinx to nearly complete health, which generally can’t happen on a standard AD Senna build. The general consensus of players in the thread is that Riot didn’t create a well-thought-out champion. “Riot will do everything to Senna but admit she was a mistake,” one player said.
While Senna’s win rate has drastically improved, she is now solely an AP enchanter in Patch 14.16, which likely was not Riots’ intention. Senna is now at the point of being overpowered after her huge AP buffs. “She either terrorizes the entire game or is useless. Such an awful design,” another player said. It will be interesting to see how Riot plans to address AP Senna in a hotfix or in Patch 14.17, which is scheduled for Aug. 28.
