Today marked Day 3, Week 7 of the North American League Championship Series (NA LCS).
From Immortals dominating Echo Fox, to Counter Logic Gaming taking down Cloud9, here is how the final day of Week 7 went down:
(7-7) Counter Logic Gaming 2-1 Cloud9 (8-6)
Game 1: The first match was dominated by CLG. In fact, C9 only got one kill throughout the game compared to CLG’s 12. There was not much else other than CLG having their way with C9. The best performance of the match came from CLG top laner Darshan “Darshan” Upadhyaha, who went 6/1/1 as Gnar.
Game 2: The second game was almost the exact same pattern, except the teams were flipped. CLG only grabbed two kills compared to C9’s 13, and could never really take a gold lead from C9. The best performance of the game came from C9 ADC Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi, who went 4/0/4 as Sivir.
Game 3: The third game was not full of many events, as the deciding game followed that same eventless pattern that the previous two games did. The team kills went 10-4 in favor of CLG, who was led by mid laner Choi “Huhi” Jae-hyun (5/1/3 as Viktor).
(13-1) Immortals 2-0 Echo Fox (1-13)
Game 1: The first game was dominated by IMT, despite not having Dragon control (2-1 in favor of EF). However, it is worth noting that IMT was able to dominate and shut down EF without a Baron either, which shows IMT’s prowess or EF’s current state of weakness. The best performance of the match came from IMT mid laner Eugene “Pobelter” Park, who went 7/1/7 as Malzahar.
Game 2: The second match was a slaughter of EF. The team kills went 28-10 in favor of IMT (it is also worth noting IMT got 28 kills in 20 minutes). All members of IMT dropped at least 10 assists, but the best performance of the match came from IMT ADC Jason “WildTurtle” Tran (11/1/10 as Ashe).
(14-0) Team SoloMid 2-0 Team Liquid (8-6)
Game 1: The first match was dominated by TSM. While many viewers expected TL to give TSM a challenge, TSM thought otherwise and proceeded to shut down TL in any situation. TL only took down one tower, whereas TSM took down 11. The best performance of the game came from TSM support Vincent “Biofrost” Wang, who went 1/1/10 as Karma.
Game 2: The second game was more action-packed. Early on, TL played aggressive and took down TSM ADC Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng (3/3/12 as Sivir) for first blood. However, TSM played safe, farmed up and took objective control to out-damage TL in the ensuing teamfights. The best performance of the match came from TSM mid laner Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, who went 7/1/7 as Vladmir.
(7-7) Team EnVyUs 2-1 Apex (5-9)
Game 1: The first game was pretty much all APX until 38 minutes, when APX took down Baron, but then had four members cleaned up by EnVyUs. However, APX settled down and pushed into the EnVyUs base to win. The best performance of the game came from APX jungler Lee “ShrimP” Byeong-hoon, who went 4/1/4 as Elise.
Game 2: The second game was all EnVyUs. The “Boys in Blue” only gave up two towers, while taking down nine, grabbing four Dragons and a Baron. The best performance of the game came from EnVyUs mid laner Noh “Ninja” Geon-woo, who went 7/2/10 as Cassiopeia.
Game 3: The third match could have gone either way, until 23 minutes in when EnVyUs got back-to-back aces on APX. After that, EnVyUs swiftly won the game. The best performance of the game came from EnVyUs ADC Benjamin “LOD” deMunck, who went 6/0/5 as Sivir.
