Jojopyun has been considered one of North America’s best League players since his debut, and as one of the youngest players in the region, his potential seems limitless to many fans and analysts alike. He has already won an LCS championship, attended a Mid-Season Invitational and a World Championship, and could blossom into a household name within the scene in a few more years.

This offseason, however, Jojopyun’s future with C9 might be in jeopardy due to a dispute between him and the organization. According to reports, he has been fired by C9 management with his contract fully terminated for next year and beyond, leaving him supposedly teamless for 2025.

Here is all the information known about Jojopyun’s current contract situation with C9.

Why was Jojopyun reportedly fired by Cloud9?

On Sept. 11, popular League content creator IWillDominate released a video claiming C9 had fired Jojopyun, terminating his contract due to excessive tardiness. According to Dom’s sources, Jojopyun was constantly showing up to various team activities and meetings late, with no signs of improvement.

Eventually, the coaching staff began tracking every instance when Jojopyun would be late, and it totaled up to 43 separate infractions. By the final infraction, C9 management decided to terminate the contract, although now, reports from Travis Gafford suggest that Jojopyun and his camp will contest the severity of the alleged misbehavior and tardiness.

Even if Jojopyun’s contract has been terminated, his contract is still active on Riot Games’ official contract database, meaning that they have not recognized his removal from the roster just yet. The contract was originally set to end in November 2025, but we will be monitoring this list for any possible changes over the next few weeks.
