League of Legends music video “POP/STARS,” sang by (G)I-DLE, Madison Beer, and Jaira Burns as pop group K/DA, has passed 100 million views on YouTube. The video actually clocked in at 100 million yesterday—one month from its initial launch on Nov. 3.

The pop anthem is a worldwide smash hit. Before hitting 100 million views on YouTube, the song reached the number one spot on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart in November. And its popularity only continues to grow. The song’s virtual performers—League of Legends champions Akali, Kai’Sa, Evelynn, and Ahri—have reached super stardom thanks to the K-pop infused anthem.

K/DA’s “POP/STARS” is now the second-most popular video on the League of Legends YouTube page, right after Imagine Dragons’ “Warriors,” a music video that was released four years ago. “Warriors” has 190 million views on YouTube at the time of writing; give it a few months and K/DA’s “POP/STARS” will likely hit the top spot on the developer’s YouTube page. The next popular video on the League of Legends YouTube page is a music video called “Get Jinxed,” which has clocked in at 78 million views and was released five years ago.

Riot Games creative lead Viranda Tantula told Dot Esports that K/DA’s popularity is due to “part intention and planning, and part lightning-in-a-bottle.” The music video—and K/DA as a whole—was a big project that the Riot team was “super passionate” about.

“As for the lightning-in-a-bottle factor, I think we’re also in a moment in musical history where regional music borders are slowly being torn down in an awesome way, and global music fans are really starting to open up to new genres, including, in this case, K-Pop,” Tantula said.
