Since the Worlds 2024 anthem featuring Linkin Park released on Sept. 24, it has become one of the most trending videos on YouTube. With so many eyes watching it, it’s no surprise people have picked up on the hidden “bot gap” message in Zeri’s lightning. Fans were blown away by the “insanely beautiful” texturing and art style similar to Arcane’s and this “Easter egg.”

Like many fans, I thought this was just a fun edit until I went through the video and slowed down the playback speed to 0.25. As soon as the lightning came on screen, I paused and unpaused multiple times during this scene until the “bot gap” message appeared. This is how I got that screenshot above and realized it wasn’t fake. It’s really there, and as fans put it, it’s “nuts” because you “can clearly read it.” It’s currently unknown who first noticed this, but it’s beyond impressive that they did.

Although bot gap is a phrase that’s quite commonly used in League games when there’s a significant performance difference between the two opposing bot lane teams, there’s a reason why this phrase appeared in the anthem video. During the Worlds 2022 Play-Ins, Brance, who was, at the time, the AD carry for LOUD, took down Fnatic’s support, Hylissang. When the camera panned to him, Brance flexed, showing off his bicep and the message “bot gap” scrawled on it.

It was such an iconic moment, and it’s amazing to see it represented in the Worlds 2024 anthem video. It shows that so much more detail goes into these videos than you might expect. Best of all, this is just one of many Easter eggs in the Heavy is the Crown anthem video. Did you catch them all?
