Maxlore dominates Origen with Nunu and Willump

Nunuuuuuuuuuuuu!

The reworked Nunu and Willump might be the League champion that’s most fun to play. The playful duo are absolutely silly, and yet, they’re pretty useful with a combination of CC, damage, and objective control.

But as much fun as they are to play, it doesn’t seem like they’d be a good fit for competitive play. Sure, star mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok tried it in solo queue once, but that’s no reason to bust it out when the games count. Well, apparently Misfits jungler Nubar “Maxlore” Sarafian didn’t get that memo, because he just brought it out against Origen. The result? Total domination.

Maxlore is already playing like the best jungler in the European region. But winning on Nunu is next level. And it wasn’t like he was just along for the ride—he was making plays for Misfits all over the map. He got things going in the bot lane at just level three. With the Aftershock rune, he had enough damage to surprise Origen support Alfonso “Mithy” Rodriguez and secure first blood.

From there, Maxlore made the river an inhospitable place for Origen, taking complete control of the drake pit. In fact, Misfits stacked all five of the game’s drakes behind the power of the yeti, including three infernals and two mountains.

That was enough power for Maxlore and Misfits bot laner Steven “Hans Sama” Liv—playing Vayne—to take the Baron as just a two-man unit. The damage and lifesteal in spades, made it rather simple to secure that objective.

With Maxlore running the show and the lanes winning everywhere, Misfits beat Origen in just over 30 minutes to stake their claim as the best team in the LEC.
