From Team SoloMid remaining undefeated to NRG Esports upsetting Team EnVyUs, here’s how Day 2, Week 7 went down:

(13-0) Team SoloMid 2-0 Echo Fox (1-12)

Game 1: The first match was much closer than most people expected. Both teams kept switching leads until 34 minutes in when TSM took Baron and then pushed into EF’s base and won the game. The best performances of the game came from TSM’s bot-lane duo of ADC Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng (7/1/5 as Sivir) and support Vincent “Biofrost” Wang (1/1/11 as Karma).

Game 2: The second game… well it was what everyone expected. TSM absolutely slaughtered EF, who never had a gold lead throughout the entire game. EF even took a Baron, yet they barely grabbed any gold. The best performances of the game came from TSM’s bot lane duo once again, with Doublelift going 6/0/11 as Sivir and Biofrost going 0/0/16 as Karma.

(4-10) NRG eSports 2-0 Team EnVyUs (6-7)

Game 1: The first game was dominated by NRG. NV couldn’t take any form of lead thanks to NRG mid laner Lee “GBM” Chang-seok, who went 11/1/6 as Viktor. His presence on the map kept anyone on NV from doing anything. NRG continued to massacre NV, pushed into their base and then won easily.

Game 2: The second match was much closer, and was even looking like an NV win until 27 minutes in when NRG took down Baron, won a teamfight and then ended the game. The best performance on the winning team came from NRG ADC Oh “ohq” Gyu-min, who went 5/0/7 as Lucian.

(8-5) Cloud9 2-1 Apex (5-8)

Game 1: The first match was extremely close until 20 minutes in when APX started seizing every single objective. Towers, Dragons, and Baron gave APX a large gold lead, which allowed them to out-damage and defeat C9 in the final teamfight to win the game. The best performance of the game came from APX mid laner Jang “Keane” Lae-young, who went 5/0/2 as Viktor.

Game 2: The second game was crazy, to say the least. It went on for 61 minutes and saw 46 kills between the two teams (24-22 in favor of APX) and came down to C9 base racing to win the game. The highlight of the game came from C9 mid laner Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen (12/2/8 as Malzahar), who got a pentakill 29 minutes into the game.

Game 3: The third match was close until 24 minutes in, when C9 grabbed two towers and got a small gold lead. It got worse for APX after they were aced at Baron, which gave C9 the opportunity to win the game. The best performance of the game came from C9 ADC Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi, who went 8/0/7 as Sivir.

(8-5) Team Liquid 2-0 Phoenix1 (3-11)

Game 1: The first game was leaning in favor of P1, until multiple teamfights went in favor of TL who then grabbed a Baron and won the game in a very swift manner. The best performance of the game came from TL mid laner Kim “Fenix” Jae-hoon, who went 9/2/6 as Vladmir.

Game 2: The second game pretty much followed the same pattern as the first. TL grabbed multiple objectives after acing P1, then killed them again… and again, until there was nothing to kill besides P1’s nexus. The best performance of the game was once again from Fenix, who went 8/0/11 as Vladmir.
