From the outside, SK Gaming appear to be in paradise.
The team sits atop the European League Championship Series standings with only three losses after 16 games. They look set to claim first place in the regular season and are favorites to represent Europe at the Midseason Invitational.
Despite the remarkable season, one of the team’s key players appears ready to leave the lineup. Star signing Konstantinos ‘Forg1ven’ Tzortziou is less than impressed with his new teammates, and wants out of the No. 1 team in Europe, according to sources close to the team.
Shortly before the week five clash between SK and H2K gaming, Forg1ven allegedly commented to members of the opposing team that he hoped that Christoph “nRated” Seitz “will retire soon.” The comment eventually found its way back to the SK support player.
Forg1ven is struggling to see a future with the team. These issues have culminated in the superstar AD Carry deciding that his time with SK could be at an end if the European LCS playoffs don’t go to plan. While the player seems to want out, SK may also be looking at new talent. The team is reportedly searching for a substitute player in the AD Carry position. While that move could be unrelated, SK may also be taking steps to prepare for a possible worst-case scenario.
Forg1ven joined SK Gaming in November, 2014, when the European team removed veteran AD Carry Adrian “Candypanda” Wubbelmann after a disappointing performance at the World Championship. Since his arrival, Forg1ven has been praised as the best AD Carry in Europe by his peers. After eight weeks of the European LCS, the player boasts both the highest KDA (13.3) and the most gold per minute (452) of any player.
