The semi-annual League Championship Series roster shuffle is moving into full swing. Earlier today, Unicorns of Love announced that marksman Pontus “Vardags” Dahlblom was moving to a substitute role. The team says it will be conducting tryouts for the position—which Dahlblom will partake in—over the next few months as it prepares for next season.

The news comes after some lackluster results, culminating a failure to qualify for the 2015 World Championship. The team placed fifth-sixth in the 2015 European League Championship Series dsplit and ultimately lost to Origen in the 2015 Regional Qualifiers.

This is not the first time the team has considered replacing Dahlblom. It team extended its hand to Mohammad “Jebus” Tohki to replace Dahlblom for the summer, but after an impressive second-place finish and playoff victory over SK Gaming, it stuck with Dahlblom.

This offseason should feature a shuffling of marksman talent. With SK Gaming and Copenhagen Wolves’ recent relegations, both Adrian “CandyPanda” Wübbelmann and Aleš “Freeze” Kněžínek are likely to leave their current teams in search of greener pastures. Meanwhile, both Pierre “Steeelback” Medjaldi and Kristoffer “P1noy” Pedersen failed to qualify for the LCS, and they should be hot commodities this off-season.
