Which LoL champion says ‘What have the ravens brought me?’

I forgot this champion existed.

We’ve had some head-scratching LoLdle quotes recently, and today’s quote even had me questioning how well I truly knew the bird-wielding champions in League of Legends. Apparently, not well enough.

If you also don’t know anything about champions with bird abilities, that’s likely why you’re here–and it’s also why I have the answer to the Aug. 9 LoLdle quote below.

Who says, “What have the ravens brought me?” in LoL?

The LoLdle quote on Aug. 9 is, “What have the ravens brought me?” The League champion who says this line is Swain.

As soon as I read this quote, I knew I was in trouble because Quinn and Swain were the only champions I could think of who used birds. I know next to nothing about these champions, so I tried them in alphabetical order and, thankfully, got the correct answer.

I have never played Swain, so I didn’t know about his kit, which includes a passive ability called Ravenous Flock. When his passive is activated, he can collect soul fragments to heal himself and increase his maximum health. He actually says this voice line when collecting a soul fragment using this ability, which is pretty cool because, in the animation, his raven returns to him with the soul fragment.

Although I love my villainous characters, I honestly forgot Swain existed. As he has a 3.1 percent pick rate as a support champion and a 0.7 percent pick rate as a mid champion, according to U.GG, the League stat tracker, it seems like most League players have as well. To be fair, when you have supports like Lux and Leona and mid champions like Yasuo and Yone who are crushing it on the Rift this patch, Patch 14.15, Swain falls to the wayside—poor guy.

After yesterday’s easy Amumu quote, I was worried today’s Loldle quote would be another easy one. And it probably was for Swain mains. But it was tough for the rest of us who may or may not have forgotten he existed. Hopefully, tomorrow’s Loldle quote will be even more challenging.
