With virtually every North American and European organization looking to Korea to shore up their lineup, one European side has struck gold with one of the region’s most talented young players.
On Oct 8, the Daily Dot reported that Paweł “Woolite” Pruski was the front-runner for the vacant marksman position on Polish squad Roccat, due to his talent and ability to communicate with other members in their native language. This morning, Roccat confirmed the acquisition on their Facebook page with a photo of Pruski signing his contract in public.
Roccat’s roster has been on the move as of late following a disappointing finish to the 2014 Summer Split. After a hot start that saw them atop the league table with regularity, the chemistry and aggression that garnered their success was notably absent as their results and morale plummeted.
In response, the organization released top-laner Marcin “Xaxus” Mączka and Paweł “Celaver” Koprianiuk, members of the original Kiedyś Miałem Team roster that took the EU by storm in the 2014 Spring Split. Mid-laner Remigiusz “Overpow” Pusch was also moved to the top lane in order to find better synergy within the lineup.
The last remaining spot on Roccat’s roster, the mid-lane, is vacant for now. But with recent rumblings of Martin “Rekkles” Larsson moving to European champions Alliance and Millenium bolstering their squad with Korean imports, whoever fills the role had better be ready for one of the most competitive European seasons to date.
