Madden 25 is the latest entry into EA Sports’ long-running title focused on the NFL, and its release date may have been inadvertently confirmed.
EA Sports is releasing two football titles this year, Madden 25 and College Football 25, and we now have a confirmed release date for the former.
What is the Madden 25 release date?
Madden 25 is officially confirmed to be released on August 16, though players can get three days of early access from August 13 by purchasing different versions. There will be a standard and deluxe versions of the game, as well as an EA Sports MVP bundle of Madden 25 and College Football 25, including early access for both titles.
The release date announcement came with the reveal of San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey as the cover athlete. He is the first player from the team to feature on the cover and the first running back since the 2013 version of the game (which was also called Madden 25 to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary).
As with other Madden titles, expect an updated roster and several new gameplay mechanics to complement the familiar gameplay.
