Sure, the Marvel Rivals roster is critical, but the locations we’ll visit in Marvel Rivals are just as important. With so many notable spots in the Marvel universe, narrowing down which will appear in Rivals was likely a tricky task for the developer.

So, read on to see which made the cut as we take you through all the maps confirmed for Marvel Rivals so far.

Four maps have been confirmed for Marvel Rivals so far, spread across two locations: Tokyo 2099 and Yggsgard. This suggests that each location in Rivals will be divided into sublocations/maps.

Here are the maps confirmed so far.

  • Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya
  • Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands
  • Yggsgard: Royal Palace
  • Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path

Maps in Marvel Rivals feature destructible environments. The original reveal trailer shows Iron Man destroying a statue in Yggsgard, Black Panther harnessing the power of Bast to send a bridge crashing down, and Groot teaming up with Rocket Raccoon to demolish a wall.

NetEase certainly has no shortage of potential environments that could be recreated as maps in Marvel Rivals, with the vast history of Marvel Comics giving us the potential to visit both real-world and made-up locations.

NetEase has already shown a fresh approach with Yggsgard, a version of Asgard that’s been fused with Yggdrasill, the world tree, after the Timestream Entanglement, so we could see similar fun ideas in the future.

Marvel Rivals rumored and leaked maps

NetEase has only confirmed four Marvel Rivals maps so far, but according to a post on X (formerly Twitter) on May 8 by Miller Ross, five unannounced maps have been datamined from the Marvel Rivals alpha and pre-alpha.

Ross claims the following locations, each with their own set of maps, are on the way:

  • Hydra Erebus Base
  • The Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda
  • Klyntar
  • Empire of Eternal Night
  • Krakoa

Miller claims the Hydra Erbus Base may have “been skipped during development,” but it was present early in development. As always, the developer has not confirmed these leaks, so take them with a huge pinch of salt.
