As players traverse dangerous areas of Aeternum, you’ll need some fat stacks to buy the goods required to live for more than a few days. Your hard-earned cash can buy a whole list of necessary things, like buying weapons, houses, and other items.
Make sure you’re in the company that owns the territory you’re in, so every purchase is on sale. If you’re not from the company in charge, you’ll likely be spending more cash than needed. Along with these player-focused systems, money comes in handy for a ton of other things, be it upgrading your weapons or quickly purchasing some resources to help complete a town quest.
Fortunately, there are a few ways to earn money in New World. Here are the best ways to make money in the world of Aeternum.
How to earn money in New World
Quests
Unfortunately, the grind is the best way to gather some cold-hard cash. The best way to make money in New World is by simply completing quests. If you smash out some side quests or main quests, you’ll be earning the big bucks. You’ll need to complete these quests anyway, so why not just get them done?
Trading
Another good way is by offloading some of the materials, resources, and weapons you find scattered throughout the map. Head to a trading post and sell your items, you’ll easily make some money this way. This player-to-player auction system is the perfect place to offload items that you can’t use or are no longer using, and you can set whatever price you’d like.
Play the market, and raise your prices if you’re the only one selling the item, it’s simple economics. Be wary, you might have a harder time selling if you’re making people apply for a second mortgage, just to buy your axe.
A simple example is selling things like sugar for 100 gold, despite the tasty treat being easily accessible for everyone. Not a good move.
Expeditions
Expeditions are another great way to earn money, specifically through taking their repeatable side quest. Outside the entry to Amirine Excavation, you can get a mission from the dog Barkimedes, which will provide great EXP and gold. The enemies inside Expeditions provide gold too.
Farming mobs isn’t the most efficient way to make money in New World though, so it should only be done inside an Expedition.
