The most competitive players will want to complete Savage, Extreme, and Unreal content, and those were progressively added over the next updates. Now, they have a large selection of Savage raids, Extreme Trials, and rotating Unreal trials.

Extreme Trials bend towards the least challenging high-end duties. They’re a great introduction to harder content, since it’s mandatory to know the boss’ patterns and your job’s rotation. But it’s still more forgiving than Unreal and Savage fights.

Here is how to unlock Extreme trials that released on Endwalker.

How to unlock Extreme trials in Endwalker

The process to unlock Extreme trials on Endwalker is no different from previous expansions. You’ll have to speak to the Wandering’s Minstrel in Old Sharlayan, at X: 12.6, Y: 14.2.

You’ll need to reach level 90 and complete the Endwalker Main Scenario Quests to unlock the Wandering Minstrel’s quests. Simply speak to him, tell of your adventures and listen to his song to unlock both duties.

All four duties will appear in the High-end Duty tab of the menu, but you might not be able to play them outright because they’ll require a specific average item level to enter. Here are those requirements:

  • Zodiark’s Fall and Hydaelyn’s Call: ilvl 560
  • Endsinger’s Aria: ilvl 580
  • Storm’s Crown: ilvl 600

When entering those fights, it’s highly recommended to use the Party Finder rather than joining a random queue. You’ll want to be an organized party rather than playing with random allies.

Moreover, if you’re going to farm rewards, there is more chance of clearing the fight several times in a row when joining this kind of Party. You can directly see if parties are looking for players by clicking on the grey number on the right of “Lv. 90”, and “View Parties That Meet Conditions.” If there is none, you can set up your own party by clicking on “Recruit Members” instead.
