Fortnite Horror maps are created, as the name implies, to scare players. These maps feature spooky settings to solve puzzles or escape the haunted location. They are perfect for playing alone or with up to three friends, and these modes are some of the most popular custom modes in the game.

Here are some of the best Horror maps available in Fortnite today.

The best horror maps in Fortnite

For those seeking dark and creepy content and have access to Fortnite, here are the map codes that might frighten you.

The Night at Pizzeria

1502-5843-2604v8

This one’s for all those Five Nights At Freddy’s fans. This map has you play as a night watchman, who, unfortunately, is tasked with supervising a dark and mysterious pizzeria. This FNAF-inspired map will have you flicking lights on and checking cameras to avoid getting caught by the monster.

Nightmare Shift

4441-5246-1264

If you’re a horror fan, you’ll get a kick out of this map. Nightmare Shift is unique in its multiple endings, all with their frights and surprises. You are tasked with finding clues around an office map while a scary businessman in a suit tries to murder you.

The Backrooms

1965-9447-9912v5

This map is inspired by The Backrooms internet meme, which involves people clipping through reality and ending up in an endless sprawl of empty office rooms, some of which feature monsters. The Fortnite version remarkably works similarly, as you will traverse empty corridors, large flooded areas, and yellowed office spaces.

Scary Doll

7595-1913-2803

This map is for you if you’re a fan of unsettling first-person horror experiences. Scary Doll is a four-player map that has killer dolls chasing you while you attempt to escape. It’s a very well-designed map that is one of the better-looking ones on this list.

Quiet Place

3739-2232-6062

Quiet Place may sound like the movie of the same name, but the execution is quite different. This Fortnite map has you hunting down essential items from room to room, all while trying to avoid being trapped by the evil spirits that lurk about. The map gets scarier as you progress, making for some incredibly tense moments.

Vegetable Nightmares

1951-1334-6202

If you’re afraid of killer vegetables, you might want to give this map a pass. Vegetable Nightmares takes everyday carrots, bananas, and more, turning them into psychopath killers who wish you dead. Their designs are pretty gnarly, and their fast and creepy movement leads to reasonably frightening experiences.

The Forest –  Horror Escape

7395-3026-2615

Inspired by the game The Forest, this map puts you as a lost survivor in the middle of the forest trying to escape. You’ll be pilfering through log cabins for resources, flicking on electric breakers, and trying to stay out of sight from the hideous monster trying to hunt you down. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Kaiki Hyakubun

5692-0940-8731

Kaiki Hyakubun is one of the most famous Fortnite horror maps in existence. This Japanese-influenced map hosts up to four players and starts with you teleported to a mysterious house. Your goal is to escape from this house while avoiding a murderous monster.

The Apartment

9833-8062-2391

If jumpscares are what you are after, The Apartment is the map for you. Set inside and around an apartment, this map is packed with shocks. As the player is guided on a narrative path around the map, they will be forced to go through locations, triggering more scares the further they get. As jumpscares are the core of Fortnite Horror maps, this is one of the most impressive maps to use.

Alien Nightmare

8113-8152-5922v3

Fortnite is no stranger to aliens, with a season dedicated to intergalactic visitors. Now, players can engage with a more dangerous alien as part of an escape map. Players must work with their friends to escape the ship before they become food for the alien creature onboard.

Zombieland

9369-6922-8408

This map is a classic survival map. Take on ever-growing hordes of zombies. Players can also purchase weapons Call of Duty: Zombies style, drive cars to escape or run over zombies, and discover other parts of the Fortnite creative map.

Evil Awaits: Haunted Escape

7962-7507-1539

Do you like escape rooms? If so, Evil Awaits: Haunted Escape might be for you and give you some scares. Bring your friends and do your best to locate the map’s hidden spots to progress the map’s many different and spooky locales.

The Caves

5355-5776-4479

Thanks to the Creative 2.0 update, players can play titles in Fortnite Creative that utilize Unreal Engine 5. The Caves is a third-person horror map created with that engine. This Caves map contains characters, lore, spooks, and, most importantly, giant spiders.

The Bigfoot

1521-6640-9544

Walk atop the watchtower and attempt to capture the Bigfoot. The Bigfoot is best played with friends and has a slightly more comedic nature. If you want to jump in for a short, fun experience with some friends, The Bigffot could be just the Fortnite Creative map you’re looking for.

Doors

3321-6193-5191

Popularized in Roblox, Doors is back and better than ever in this Fortnite Creative map. Attempt to escape the neverending hotel by desperately running from door to door. While trying to escape, players must also escape monsters, find keys, and stealth their way to freedom.
