While stream sniping may be one of the most annoying things popular online personalities may encounter, seeing people get punished for it may be the best thing for streamers.
During a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds game, a player that Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek suspected was stream sniping him stopped mid-game, signifying that he had been banned while playing. This seemed to elate Shroud, who said, “He got banned. That guy got banned. Fucking bitch. That’s what you get. He literally left the last game to get into this game.”
Before the player was banned, Shroud commented several times on the amount of stream snipers he encountered. But after a player was banned right in front of him, Shroud complimented Bluehole for the quick reaction.
“It’s nice to see PUBG or any game actually start to care about stream snipers,” said Shroud. “It’s like they’re going back to their old ways—back in PUBG’s prime. I think more devs need to care about that shit.”

Other streamers, including Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Turner “Tfue” Tenney, and Jaryd “Summit1G” Lazar, have commented on the frequency of stream snipers in their games as well. Those players, because of their popularity, have come mostly accustomed to it, but it’s understandable why Shroud would become frustrated with people trying to ruin his game experience.
