You can craft a number of useful mid-to-late-game recipes in Palworld with Coal, including Carbon Fiber, which you need for big Feed Boxes and advanced weaponry. It’s especially important to harvest large amounts of Coal when you begin to need stronger weapons to take on tougher Pals and bosses.

- This location is in the Desert, in the north area of the map. Don’t forget to equip heat-resistant armor to survive the hot temperatures.
- 189, -38
- These coordinates are also in the north. Here, you’ll find Coal rocks clustered together on top of a hill, so it’s even ideal for a primary base, if you like the area.
- -161, -149
- This spot is at the center of a valley. You have a lot of space to set up your farm, and there are several Coal rocks around.
How to farm Coal in Palworld
You can farm Coal in Palworld simply by mining it with a Pickaxe. Ideally, you want to use a metal variant to make the process faster. However, if you’re mining manually, make sure to come prepared. For instance, the temperature in the Desert region can be quite taxing for your character, so heat-resistant gear will come in handy.
The other, more convenient way to farm Coal in Palworld would be via a Coal farm. To make a Coal farm, you need a few essential items, including a secondary Palbox, which you unlock at level 10.
