PS5 and PS4 owners are undoubtedly curious to know if Palworld (aka Pokémon with guns) will be made available on the consoles.
Although it shares some obvious similarities with Pokémon, Palworld is still its own beast. Aside from the fact some of its catchable critters, called Pals, can wield weaponry, you can fight alongside them or use them for other tasks like farming and mining.
Palworld’s early access launch period is active, so here’s a quick guide explaining everything we currently know about the platforms and if a PlayStation release will happen in the foreseeable future.
Is Palworld coming to PlayStation?

Developer Pocket Pair said it will “consider” a PlayStation port of Palworld during the RPG title’s early access development, with PlayStation keen to feature the title on PS consoles.
Thanks to the official Palworld Q&A on the game’s Discord, we learned about a potential PlayStation port before early access. “We don’t have plans for this at the moment, but will consider it during development!” said Pocket Pair.
Since then, Palworld has achieved unimaginable success and defied all expectations. Palworld sold one million copies in just its first eight hours, four million copies in three days, and then had a combined eight million copies sold after six days. We’re also constantly monitoring to see how many copies it has sold.
One of PlayStation’s main figures—Shuhei Yoshida—congratulated the Palworld team on Jan. 20 with a message on X (formerly Twitter). A user replied to Yoshida, asking, “Mr. Yoshida, please support SIE so that the PS5 version can be released as soon as possible!” To which Yoshida had an interesting response: “Yes.”
The pieces have been laid out on the table, and the stage is set. All it needs now is for Pocket Pair to deliver a much-anticipated and sought-after Palworld port on PlayStation.
It’s been a common trend for Pocket Pair to skip PlayStation for its releases. Craftopia only came to Microsoft-owned systems as well. Ideally, any PlayStation port will also sport crossplay functionality since Pocket Pair has plans to incorporate it in the Xbox and PC versions.
We will continue to update this guide if any further details are announced from Pocket Pair regarding the possibility of a PlayStation release.
