It's a multilingual mash.

Palworld picks your language setting based on your system’s default choice. But if you need to switch things up for whatever reason, there’s a way to change the language output.

Palworld is nothing if adaptable and accessible, so if you are needing another language or just want to hear the cries of butchered Pals in French, the option to tweak language settings exists.

How to change language on Steam in Palworld

If you want to change language in Palworld on Steam, access Palworld‘s properties through Steam, and then choose your language of choice from the “General” tab.

This is every step you’ll need to follow to do this yourself:

  1. Open up the Steam client
  2. Go to your Steam Library and find Palworld
  3. Right-click on the title and select “Properties”
  4. From the General tab, find the Language drop-down box
  5. Click on it and select the language you prefer to confirm it
  6. Boot up Palworld, and the in-game language should now be updated to reflect your decision

How to change language on XBox (Game Pass) in Palworld

Changing the language in Palworld with the XBox Game Pass version is a bit more tricky as there are no simple drop down lists for easy access.

Follow these steps closely in order to access the language settings for Palworld on for the XBox Game Pass version:

  1. Click the Windows Key + R and type in appdata
  2. Follow this path: Local > Pal > Config > WinGDK
  3. Open the Engine.ini file within this folder
  4. Enter the lines: [Internationalization] Culture=en
  5. Save the File and close it out
  6. Open Palworld and the language should be changed!

The [Internationalization] Culture=en is shown above in the gallery. Right now, the current languages supported in Palworld are these:

  • de
  • en
  • es
  • fr
  • it
  • ja
  • ko
  • pt-BR
  • ru
  • zh-Hans
  • zh-Hant
Tip: English is the default language.

The default language is English or en. You are able to add any of the currently available languages within the text file. I chose Spanish or es which changed the language to Spanish in the gallery above.

Pocketpair is open to having its game as inclusive to all players as possible. In terms of playability alone, there’s a free Palworld trial you can access to grab a piece of the Palworld pie.
