The Shrouded Fable expansion set for Pokémon TCG launches Aug. 2. With it, players heading to the 2024 World Championship have a few new cards to play around with that could make the difference between victory and defeat.
There are over 100 cards on offer, but only a few are sought-after over the rest due to being overpowered or gorgeous reprints of pre-existing cards from previous sets like Twilight Masquerade. So, which ones do you need to keep your eyes open for?

There are a bunch of cards in Shrouded Fable we could have chosen, and we selected the ones we feel are best for the game, rather than for collectors. So, in no particular order, here are all the Shrouded Fable cards you should look for.
1) Munkidori
One of two cards from previous sets being re-released, the Munkidori Illustration Art is likely to be one of the most expensive cards players are looking for. It’s a priority card for Gardevoir ex decks, especially heading into the Pokémon World Championship.
2) Earthen Vessel
The second of the recently released cards, Earthen Vessel, is just too good. The fact that you can find it as a gold rare will likely have collectors and players scrambling to bling out their decks ahead of the upcoming 2024-25 circuit.
3) Duskull, Dusclops, Dusknoir
The Duskull line is new to Shrouded Fables. It’s being strongly considered for Gardevoir decks and many others due to its unique ability to deal damage to any Pokémon for no cost. It has the potential to be broken, and there isn’t much counterplay to it.
4) Cassiopeia
Cassiopeia is the ultimate reset card that everyone wants to find. The fact you can use it to search for any two cards is massive, as it’s easy for some decks to get rid of their hands entirely and then find the last two cards they need for a winning play.
5) Colress’s Tenacity
Colress’s Tenacity is a situational card. It’s a great search tool for Stadium cards and Energies, offering two effects that could be great for decks like Ogerpon and Ancient. Still, whether players will use it remains to be seen.
