Illustration Rare Pokémon are some of the prettiest cards in Pokémon TCG, and there are 15 you can find in Shrouded Fable from Aug 2.
Most of the time, these cards are purely for collectors and don’t have much use in the game outside of casual play, but sometimes, some cards come along that are not only pretty but useful, and they become some of the most expensive cards to find in the set.
So, does the current expansion have anything you should watch for?

Munkidori is the undisputed best Illustration Rare Pokémon Card to come out of Pokémon TCG’s Shrouded Fable expansion set. Because it’s just a special art card, players use it in one of the top meta decks—Gardevoir ex. You can place any damage counters from your Pokémon onto an opponent, which could be the difference between knocking out a Pokémon or keeping it alive.
Next, we have the Dusclops set, including its evolutions. A great-looking set of cards, the Dusclops line could be useful once again in a Gardevoir ex deck as you can sacrifice its evolutions to deal damage. If you take out an opposing ex and trade one prize card for two, it’s all worth it.
Fezandipiti and Okidogi are close to one another, and all other cards are in whichever order you prefer. It’s all subjective afterward when it comes to the game, as all of the cards are pretty and great for collectors looking to spruce up their binders.
