Solar Fusion Energy is a resource in Pokémon Go for fusing Necrozma with Solgaleo to make Dusk Mane Necrozma. This is the only way to obtain the light-devouring combination of Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Go, and it isn’t an easy item to come by. Much like Mega Energy or Primal Energy, the way you obtain Solar Fusion Energy is very limited—and here’s exactly how to collect it.
Every way to obtain Solar Fusion Energy in Pokémon Go
Solar Fusion Energy is obtainable through only a handful of activities in Pokémon Go. The primary way you’ll want to go about earning Solar Fusion Energy is by completing raid battles, specifically ones featuring Dusk Mane Necrozma. You won’t be able to earn enough through one or two raids. Instead, if you want to fuse Necrozma and Solgaleo into Dusk Mane Necrozma, you will need a decent amount of the resource.
Starting with Go Fest 2024’s various in-person events, Dusk Mane Necrozma will appear in five-star raids. For beating one of those raids during the event or in the future, you will be awarded Solar Fusion Energy just like you receive Mega Energy when finishing a Mega Raid. At the same time, Special Research is also available that lets players pick between Lunala and Solgaleo, which will net them Legendary Pokémon encounters and their respective Fusion Energy.
Solar Fusion Energy should become more available after Dusk Mane Necrozma’s worldwide debut during the Pokémon Go Fest 2024 Global event. You can challenge Dusk Mane Necrozma to five-star raids on July 14, and these activities are available to all Pokémon Go players, not only those with access to the Go Fest 2024 ticket. After these events, we expect to see Dusk Mane Necrozma featured in various events throughout Pokémon Go‘s future.
Hopefully, we get access to more opportunities for Solar Fusion Energy. Because Dusk Mane Necrozma is a five-star raid, it does require multiple players to work together to take it down. If it becomes available through Special Research or Field Research tasks, more players should have access to it in Pokémon Go.
