With any new major game release, the masses always want to know if their Game Pass subscription includes it. With the critically well received Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown set to release soon, that question has to be asked once again.
Arguably the biggest draw Microsoft’s Game Pass is the mouthwatering selection of games you can enjoy for free as part of a paid subscription. A huge win for Game Pass is it offers many of the world’s latest and greatest AAA extravaganzas, with those from Microsoft studios even getting a day one release.
Will Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown be on Game Pass?
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will not be coming to Xbox Game Pass.
The Microsoft store has a listing for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, but there’s no indicator that says the game is coming to Game Pass. Only an option to directly purchase the standard or deluxe edition exists on the listing, and that’s only for Xbox and not PC.
If players don’t want to shell out $50 or $60 for the new release though, there is another subscription option. The Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown deluxe edition is included with the newly renamed Ubisoft+ Premium plan. Ubisoft+ Premium is effectively the publisher’s version of Game Pass Ultimate, featuring day one releases, premium editions, free access to DLC, and access to the full catalog of games on both PC and console.
Ubisoft+ Premium includes both Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown as well as Ubisoft’s other recent releases in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. Players can purchase Ubisoft+ Premium for $18 a month.
While in many cases it can be advisable to wait for games to eventually come to Game Pass, I wouldn’t keep your hopes up for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. There are very few, if any, Ubisoft games in the Game Pass catalog, and with the publisher operating its own subscription service, there likely isn’t going to be any in the near future.
