Updated for September 2024

We’re only listing the top-tier characters in Roblox Anime Defenders. If you don’t see a character, it probably means they aren’t strong enough to make it on the list. To get new units, you need a lot of gems for the gacha rolls. If you haven’t already, check out our Anime Defenders codes if you need a few more gems. Without further ado, here is the full list.

S-Tier Anime Defenders units

  • The Gamer – Once you have The Gamer, don’t take him out of your party.
  • Cursed Knight – He may even be better than The Gamer.
  • Celestial Qi Master – A Limited Mythical unit known for its versatility.
  • Flame Dragon God – Great unit with good AoE damage and amazing DPS overall.
  • Shadow Master – Another Limited Mythical unit. It has great DPS and AoE attacks.
  • Warrior Queen – She does some devastating AoE damage, nothing gets past her.
  • Pink Rockstar – A must-have support unit that buffs the entire squad and generates extra money.
  • Ice Admiral – Best unit for slowing down enemies.
  • Chance Taker – Absolutely broken DPS, even at an early level.
  • Elf Wizardess – Best AoE damage in the game.
  • Carp – One of the best damage dealers in the game.
  • Bear King – Can be a pain to obtain through raids, but the damage he does is worth it.
  • Curse Prince – Can be absolutely devastating on the front lines, especially if you evolve him.

A-Tier Anime Defenders units

  • Bloomer – Just like the Pink Rockstar, she generates money, but not as much. Really useful in Infinite Mode.
  • Strongest Swordsman – Incredible range, and decent damage. Great when you place him mid-way through the zone.
  • Donut Warrior – Not as good as S-tier units, but still great AoE Damage. Can also slow enemies down.
  • Lava Admiral – It’s one of the best DPS characters in the game.
  • Flame Dragon King – Really great damage for single targets.
  • Curse Fighter – Decent debuffer after you upgrade him a bit.
  • Esper – Not a great Mythical, but still does decent damage.
  • Unleashed Umbral Prince – Great all-rounder unit.
  • Legion Commander – Strong oppressive unit.
  • Fire Demon Ninja – Reliable Mythical unit with great AoE damage.

B-Tier Anime Defenders units

  • Admiral of Light – Decent AoE damage and cheap to upgrade.
  • Ant King – Decent AoE Damage.
  • Shinobi Form 3 – I used this until I got some stronger characters. Does very decent damage.
  • Frost Reaper – It’s a Rare unit, but it’s also an extremely efficient character for slowing down enemies.
  • Clay – Another good unit for slowing enemies down.
  • Sharpshooter – Decent damage and long range, but not amazing.
  • Electric Cyborg – A bit expensive, but you do get an extra turret with him.
  • The Beast – The AoE damage it does can be very effective if you place him around circling enemies.
  • Thunder Shinobi – Decent damage, but not as great as other characters.
  • Skull Warrior – Good carry who was outshined by newer characters.
  • The Umbral Prince – Decent AoE damage, but newer characters are much better.
  • Jadefire Knight – It’s a Mythical unit with great AoE damage, but it’s not as effective as other Mythical units.
  • Storm Slayer – Good but not great. This unit is reliable, but far from as impressive as the ones in A-Tier.
  • Dragon Slayer – Decent hybrid unit.
