Psyonix, the developers of Rocket League, revealed at Nintendo’s E3 press conference earlier today that its flagship game will be heading to the Nintendo Switch by the end of the year.

The game will have the same features, upgrades, and content that other players have grown accustomed too, but there will also be custom cars and items that are only available on the Nintendo Switch version of Rocket League.

The trailer for the Switch’s edition of Rocket League showed a blue and red car with a Mario hat on top, which is just an example of a potential customization item exclusive to Nintendo’s newest portable console.

Rocket League for the Nintendo Switch will take advantage of the console’s portable mode to allow up to eight players to go against one another in local multiplayer. The game will also feature cross-play capabilities, allowing players to compete against opponents on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Fans of this game will definitely be looking out for more details on the Nintendo Switch port in the near future, with the trailer indicating that Rocket League will be available on the Switch by the end of 2017.
