When will Starfield‘s Shattered Space DLC be released?

During Gamescom 2024, Bethesda confirmed Shattered Space‘s release date as Monday, Sept. 30. While information is still rather scarce, players will not have to wait long to see just what Bethesda has been cooking for the past year.

Shattered Space has a much scarier, more supernatural tone than the original Starfield game. Much of the imagery and audio featured in the trailer focuses heavily on House Va’ruun, and it’s been revealed that you will be able to travel to the “home of House Va’ruun” during the expansion’s story.

“Your fate will be decided by the Great Serpent,” according to an unknown voice. During the trailer, the player is seen engaging in combat with what looks like ghosts, and the final shot shows them in what looks like a large cloning facility.

In a recent interview with Kinda Funny Games, Howard spoke of Starfield’s massive May update that added several much-needed features, such as city map improvements, gameplay options, and even shipbuilding features.

Players don’t have to wait until the fall to access new content though. Bethesda also launched a new, free vehicle DLC called REV-8 on the same day it revealed Shattered Space‘s release date, allowing players to traverse Starfield‘s massive planets with relative ease.
