There’s a growing movement to get Twitch to ban streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys from the platform over her use of the word “idiot” in a two-year old clip. It’s nothing personal, however. Instead, fans of Ashkan “TF Blade” Homayouni are out to prove just how absurd the streamer’s recent ban from the platform is.
In TF Blade’s clip, fans believed that he said a racial slur and reported him for it. Twitch then banned him for 30 days before reducing it to only seven days. TF Blade disputed the claim, saying that he only said “idiot.”
A Reddit user posted a clip from Pokimane in which you can allegedly hear her say “this idiot is getting fucked.” Fans are comparing the two clips, calling for her ban as well. Streamer Steven “Destiny” Bonnell II got involved, too, posting a clip in which he agrees that Pokimane should be banned.
“If TF Blade is going to be banned for any length of time for saying idiot, then Pokimane should be retroactively banned for saying idiot,” Destiny said on a Nuclear Take stream. There are fans who also claim that Pokimane is saying a racial slur in the clip and not idiot.
Still, there are other fans who claim she’s saying “nivia” instead. Regardless, this is a clip from 2017 that fans are comparing to TF Blade’s ban for what he recently said on a League of Legends stream.
