Charms, the new TFT Set 12 main mechanic, are effects bought from the Shop. Over 100 Charms are slated to drop when Magic n’ Mayhem goes live. Charms will begin showing up in the Shop starting on Stage Two. Early Charms offer minor effects, and as you progress through Stages, the Charm and its effects will increase in cost and power.

Set 12 Charms have five tiers designed to strengthen TFT gameplay through Econ, combat, trait-specific bonuses, and others. Each tier of a Charm has rolling odds at Stages Two through Six, according to dataminers. Depending on the Charm tier, your Tactician receives a visual wand that lasts until the Charm duration has ended.

What are the TFT Set 12 Charm rolling odds per Stage?

Charms have a specific cadence in TFT Set 12 for early and late-game Stages.

  • Stage 5-1 and on: Charms appear in every two Shops

The appearance of Charms was changed for the Magic n’ Mayhem live launch, giving Reroll players a chance to find the champions they need when rolling down on Levels Four, Five, Six, or Seven. You may only purchase one Charm per round.

How do Charms work in TFT Set 12?

Camille TFT Set 12
Use Charms to improve your team and board state. Image via Riot Games

Charms appear in a Shop in place of a TFT Set 12 champion. Choosing a Charm makes a magic wand appear on the board, flying to your Tactician. This lets you know the Charm is now active.

If you purchase a Charm from the Shop during a turn and continue to Reroll, no other Charms will appear, as you can only choose one Charm per planning Stage turn. Rerolling for Charms is an option as well if you are looking for a specific effect, but remember, you can only choose one Charm per round.

You’ll be able to start testing out this new TFT Set 12 Charm mechanic when the Magic n’ Mayhem set drops into PBE servers on July 16.
