Teamfight Tactics NA Qualifier 2: Schedule, scores, and standings

Tacticians are battling it out for Regional Final seats.

The three-day North American Teamfight Tactics Qualifier Set Four Fates tournament hosted by Team Liquid featured a total of 24 players.

The second North American TFT Fates Qualifier kicked off Dec. 18 and will run until Dec. 20. A total of 16 advanced to day two after six rounds of gameplay and only eight will participate in the day-three finals. Competitors qualified for the TFT tournament via a number of different paths. 

  • Four players from the first TFT Qualifier, hosted by Wisdom Giant Slayer
  • 10 players from the weekly TFT ladder snapshots
  • Two players from the Wisdom Giant Slayer Weekly Challenger series
  • Eight players from open qualifier brackets

All three days of competition are being streamed on Liquid’s Twitch channel, Juked, or the individual streams from players competing. Points are awarded for first to eighth-place finishes after each round during all three days and accumulated to determine who advances. 

  • First: 10 points
  • Second: Eight points
  • Third: Seven points
  • Fourth: Six points
  • Fifth: Four points
  • Sixth: Three points
  • Seventh: Two points
  • Eighth: One point

Players competed via three lobbies and a total of six rounds of gameplay. A total of 16 players advanced to day two of the second TFT North American Fates Qualifier.

Dec. 19 day two standings

A total of 16 competitors widdled down to eight following two lobbies of players and six rounds. Points were reset from the previous day with the top eight scores advancing to the second TFT North American Qualifier day-three finals.

Sètsuko had a stellar day, running four first-place finishes in a row to top out as the points leader. Cloud9’s k3soju also showcased a solid day-two performance, finishing top-four in five out of the six rounds played.

Dec. 30 day three finals

The top-eight battled it out over the course of five rounds with the top four point accumulators earning an automatic invite to the third TFT North American Regional Qualifier. Players also earned qualifier points that will help determine who qualifies for the Regional Finals in March. 

Robinsongz earned first place after five rounds of gameplay in a tough lobby full of experienced and talented TFT players. Mismatched Socks, C9 k3soju, and kci also finished in the top four. All four players had an average of fourth over the course of five games and were only separated by three points.
