This big Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) update brings a new feature with Home Tours, additions to the Infinite Archive, new Class Sets, and several adjustments to make your experience smoother. Best of all, the big update is totally free, and only a few of the smaller changes are DLC exclusive.

Here are all the main patch changes coming with ESO Update 43.

Elder Scrolls Online Home Tours

The main addition with Update 43 is Home Tours. You can put your homes on a server-wide list of tourable homes and allow other players to visit without worrying the house might get robbed or ruined. You can set the Visitor Access option to Limited Visitor or Visitor, but never Decorator.

There are no limits to the number of homes you can list, and you can create a nickname for them and add tags to let visitors know the home’s vibe. You can also recommend homes to increase their popularity and favorite up to 100 homes to revisit if you are searching for inspiration.

The Public Test update also brings two new homes available for testing: Seabloom Villa and Haven of the Five Companions. Seabloom Villa is a medium home located on the southwestern coastline of Auridon and will be available for purchase after the PTS. Haven of the Five Companions is placed on the Easter edge of West Weald and will be available through fragments you can collect during events. You can check more details on the house on the Update 43 First Look Twitch live video.

New furniture was also added to make those home tours brand new and exciting. This includes 28 new furnishing plans, seven new Master Writ Furnishings, one new antiquity the Apocrypha Jewelry Crafting Station, and the Scribing Altar.

Infinite Archive Update

The Infinite Archive is getting an expansion. The devs added two opposing new arenas: one themed around fire and lava and one on ice and freezing water mixed with the Apocrypha style.

Mike Finnigan, the lead encounter designer, said movement will be key in those arenas because of the monsters you’ll find there and the environmental hazards.

In the Index, you can talk to Esalinwe to get two daily quests targeting Fabled or Marauder maligraphiers. Among these monsters are new Fabled Monsters you can fight and two new Marauders—Bittog and Zulfimbul—plus 10 new bosses, eight new Verses, and 10 new Visions, including an undead Avatar.

New Class Item Sets

You can receive seven new Class Item Sets as a reward for the new challenges in Infinite Archive. As usual, the amount of items you wear in the set gives your character different bonuses. Here are all the new Class Item Sets coming with Update 43 and what they do:

Aetheric Lance – Templar, Aedric Spear

“While in the area, dealing damage with an Aedric Spear ability launches a spear at your target, dealing Magic Damage and applying Sundered and increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 300 for six seconds. The damage scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.”

  1. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  2. Adds 657 Critical Chance.
  3. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  4. Dealing damage with Burning Light twice within 30 seconds creates a five-meter area for five seconds. This effect can occur once every six seconds.

Beacon of Oblivion – Sorcerer, Daedric Summoning

“While you do not have a pet active, increase your damage done to monsters and Healing Done by 15 percent.”

  1. Adds 1487 Armor.
  2. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  3. Adds 1206 Maximum Health.
  4. While you have a pet active, gain 1840 Health and 1980 Armor.

Pyrebrand – Dragonknight, Ardent Flame

“Your fully-charged Heavy Attacks consume up to three of your damage over time effects to deal Flame Damage in a six-meter radius on the target, dealing up to 200 percent more damage to enemies below 33 percent Health. The damage scales off of the higher of your Weapon or Spell damage and is increased by 20 percent for each damage over time effect on the target, up to 60 percent.”

  1. Adds 1487 Offensive Penetration.
  2. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  3. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  4. Your Light Attacks deal Flame Damage every two seconds over six seconds.

Umbral Edge – Nightblade, Shadow

  1. Adds 1206 Maximum Health.
  2. Adds 1487 Armor.
  3. Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina.
  4. When you cast a Shadow ability, you gain Umbral Riposte for three seconds, up to once every six seconds. Umrbal Riposte causes you to dodge the next attack made against you and automatically curses the attacking enemy, applying Major Vulnerability for five seconds, increasing their damage taken by 10 percent.

Aerie’s Cry – Warden, Animal Companions

“This effect can occur every three seconds but cannot be applied to enemies who already have Eagle’s Mark. You can have one Eagle’s Mark active at a time.”

  1. Adds 1487 Offensive Penetration.
  2. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  3. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  4. Dealing damage with a Light Attack applies Eagle’s Mark to your target for 12 seconds. Eagle’s Mark causes an eagle to attack your target every three seconds after a three-second delay, dealing Physical Damage per attack and increasing your damage done with Animal Companion abilities by 10 percent against them.

Corpseburster – Necromancer, Grave Lord

  1. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  2. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  3. Adds 657 Critical Chance.
  4. Consuming a corpse causes the corpse to explode, dealing Magic Damage to enemies within five meters, increasing by 10 percent for each Grave Lord ability slotted. This effect can occur once every 0.5 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.

Spattering Disjunction – Arcanist, Herald of the Tome

  1. Adds 657 Critical Chance.
  2. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  3. Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage.
  4. Dealing damage with an Arcanist ability applies two random status effects to your target. This effect can occur once every seven seconds. Dealing damage with a Herald of the Time ability reduces this cooldown by 0.5 seconds, up to once every second.

Other additions coming with ESO Update 43

There are several smaller additions, adjustments to Template Information, combat and gameplay changes, achievements, bug fixes, and improvements made with Update 43, but here’s everything that will impact players the most and they should keep an eye out for.

Item Set Curation additions

Selected coffers will now give you only the items you don’t have yet in your collection. Once you have collected all the pieces, the curation will end, and the coffers will reward random pieces again. GO for the Undaunted Monster Set Shoulder Coffers, the Imperial City Monster Set Shoulder Coffers, and the Weekly Trial Reward Coffers.

New Skill Styles

There are six new Skill Styles. You can get the Lilac Purple for the Twin Slashes, Vibrant Yellow for Momentum, and Violet Purple for Elemental Storm from using Undaunted Keys or Archival Fortunes. And from Fragment Chases, you can get Gold for Silver Bolts, Green for Roar, and Yellow for Annulment.

Mount preview improvements

Players can preview the mount’s behavior, walk, run, and idle animations in the Collections Menu, Crown Store, and in-game merchants. Instead of searching for the animation in a video to know how it moves before buying it or putting effort into getting it, you can check everything in-game.

Changes to Scribing

Every combat system received some kind of change or adjustment, but with the Gold Road Chapter, Scribbing got the most attention. Out of all the changes, the one that most affects players is the new sources for Luminous Ink.

You need Luminous Ink to add Scripts onto your Grimours, and you could get them in a few ways: buying from other players, farming from enemies, completing questlines, and as a reward from achievements. Now, there are two more ways you can get Luminous Ink.

If you have the Dragon Luminary’s Blessing, there is a low chance for Luminous Ink to drop with Treasure Chests, and the Gryphon Luminary’s Blessing will give you a low chance of getting Luminous Ink to drop in Heavy Sacks.

Last Selected Guild Store or Guild Bank

Instead of having to retrace to the last Guild Bank or Guild Store, the game will remember and use as default the previously selected Guild Bank or Guild Store from your current session.
