Free-to-play looter shooter The First Descendant has enjoyed a successful launch, but it’s merely a drop in the water for developer Nexon, which has teased what is to come in the months ahead with a full roadmap.
Soon after launching on July 2, Nexon shared The First Descendant‘s roadmap for the remainder of 2024 and highlighted everything you can look forward to—and we’ve got a full breakdown below.
The First Descendant season roadmap
The First Descendant season one: Invasion
Season one of The First Descendant launched on Aug. 29 and included new Descendant Hailey, battle pass, Invasion Dungeons, Inversion Reinforcement seasonal progression, and several story quests. Initially, season one content was divided into three updates. However, following player feedback, the developer condensed it into two updates.
The second part of season one content is scheduled for Oct. 10. You can expect to see Ultimate Freyna, Freyna’s story missions, Death Stalker Void Intercept battle, Frost Watcher Ultimate weapon, and the introduction of the ETA-0 mysterious vendor when the update goes live.
The First Descendant season two: Ancestor
Season two of The First Descendant is due to start in early December. There’s no confirmed release date, but the season one battle pass expires on Dec. 4, 2024.
The second season follows a similar pattern to the first in The First Descendant, with a new Descendant, Ultimate Descendant, weapons, skins, and a new Descendant story. There could also be further surprises.
Utility Companion and a new Mega Dungeon will also arrive in season two, though details on both features are yet to be revealed.
